Absolutely! Our name is Hi Tech Diesel because we started out with diesel injectors and fuel pumps, but all our mechanics and technicians are fully qualified to conduct services on unleaded petrol vehicles.
Our technicians have the experience and practical training to offer more specialist knowledge about diesel engines as well.
When you drop your car in to Hi Tech Diesel, we will conduct a thorough inspection and generate a report based on your car’s specific requirements.
If there are any requirements outside the normal servicing, we will call you and advise of our recommendations.
If you do not want the extra maintenance items done, we will report them on your invoice as future maintenance requirements.
We aim to get you back on the road within 24 hours.
Hi Tech charges call out fees according to the mechanic’s time.
Customers will be charged from the time the technician leaves the workshop until the time they return.
Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions regarding our products and services.
If you require extensive information, we encourage clients to book their vehicle in to be inspected by one of our qualified technicians or arrange a formal time to speak with our knowledgeable staff members about any queries you may have.
Hi Tech Diesel are RAA-approved repairers and warranty-authorised dealers of Bosch, Zexel, Denso, Delphi and Stanadyne products.
During business hours we suggest calling first to book your car in and then organise a tow truck.
If you’re not comfortable doing this, we can organise a truck for you and the cost will be added to your bill.
RAA members may be able to arrange a free tow depending on their level of cover.
Injectors wear out over time. Signs of worn injectors can include seeing black smoke and poor fuel economy.
Under normal circumstances, injectors should last up to 100,000 km before either the nozzle or the whole injector needs replacing.
The distance all depends on the type of injector and driving style.
Hi Tech Diesel service most brands of injectors within 24 hours to get you back on the road as soon as possible.
Almost all modern diesel vehicles can operate without any black smoke at all, but under normal circumstances a diesel vehicle should only produce black smoke on initial startup, when under load or changing gears.
If you think your vehicle is producing excessive black smoke, there is likely something wrong.
A lack of fresh air to the intake, worn injectors or incorrectly set tappets can all cause this problem.
Hi Tech Diesel can quickly diagnose these issues and in most cases have your car back on the road within a day.
A turbocharger is an exhaust gas-driven supercharger.
Exhaust gas from the engine is used to drive a turbine connected to the compressor by a common shaft.
The compressor is then used to supply pressurised air to the engine, which, combined with the right amount of fuel, can increase the output of the engine from 10 to 500%.
